Pinterest and a baby wipe case...Yes please!

One of my wonderful sister-in-laws is due to have a baby girl soon and I have been busy from my normal works to create some baby stuff. I had no clue what all I was going to make so I went on a Pinterest search.

Ooooh my what wonderful goodies I found and EASY too!

So here is one I found from a great blog titled Our Seven Dwarfs.

 It's an old tutorial (2011) but It worked perfect for my needs and she has great photo's and easily explains how to make one and I wanted to give full credit to this blog I found and a huge thank you to Jill!

shabby chic recycled tin can Wedding Decorations

These were created especially for the Zibbet Wedding Challenge.

Unique and different, yet elegant in its simplicity, this set of 5 shabby chic recycled tin can Wedding Decorations are certainly one of a kind as you can get these Personalized!!

I bet you’d never think of using tin cans as part of your wedding decoration.

These adorable tin cans were created using different size tin cans painted white then I used scrap black and white paper around the cans then a wonderful ribbon that is teal with white floral and black birds. After securing those to my cans I then added a teal/aqua Gerber daisy to the fronts of each can.

Of course I didn't stop there.
IN the middle of each flower is a wonderful flattened bottle cap that I added a heart charm to dangle below. **Inside the 1" bottle cap center I will customize with your name(s) as you see in the sample one with what ever background color and text color you would like then I will add a (not shown)epoxy clear dome on it and a clear rhinestone.** So at check out let me know what you would like in the middle of your flower caps.

You are getting the 5 that you see and you can customize what goes in the middle of the flowers!!

These make charming shabby chic centerpieces, use for wedding decor or they would be great for a rehearsal dinner or perhaps just scattered around the house (even the bathroom) for your guest.

Some fun ideas:
Fill them up with real or faux flowers. Add moss and rocks and one single flower if you are going with simplicity. Add tissue to the inside and then fill the cans with candy (like the silver chocolate Hershey kisses) or perhaps use them as little thank you goodie holders for bridesmaids by adding little things like lip gloss, jewelry, etc. Perhaps you can get little candles to place on the inside or add sand or rocks and add a tealight candle on the top. After the wedding you can use these as pretty desk organizers or perhaps to hold herbs or little plants.

Lookie what I made today!

I am sooo excited about this beaded watch band I made. I still need to cut the stretch cord on it, but had to show you!!

I had the watch face for years. I use to use it when I made the scarf bands. Anyone remember those? heehee

Well, I have seen these beaded watch bands on etsy and zibbet and thought how cool is that. So I set out to get the items and presto my very own beaded watch band. Sorry this one wont be for sale as it is my very own.

I have bought 3 little watch faces where I will be making little single strand beaded watch bands as Christmas gifts. I will share those with  you once they are done. :)

My mosaic bird house I made

Just wanted to share this cute bird house I made. 

 I still need to finish grouting it. I am really happy how this turned out with the mosaic tiles and stones I used.

What am I going to do with it once done? Probably just sit it on my front porch to greet my guest when they come over to visit. It is just to heavy to ship and would cost alot if I were to sell it in one of my online stores. Maybe this fall I will take it and the others perhaps to a local craft show. I have 3 more I am working on and they will be painted. I will share them with you once they are done :)  I am always playing around with stuff and this is my recent project

Magical Reindeer food craft

ok. I was looking for a neat craft like the ever so popular snowman poop to make and put in baggies to sell at the Winter fest art and craft festival at the school I am a vendor at. I came across these:

There are many version of this poem and ingredients.

so I HAD to make some myself and they turned out soooo CUTE!

This is a combination of oatmeal and glitter (not for human consumption). It should be sprinkled on the lawn by children on Christmas Eve to magically help Santa's reindeer find their home. The oatmeal can be consumed by wildlife and the small amount of glitter will blow away or settle into the ground.

I have been working on more item's for the up coming 2010 winter fest art and craft festival at the local High School. These are just a few more item's I have done up.

REAL BOWLING PIN HAND PAINTED SNOWMAN

This real 15” tall bowling pin is hand painted and embellished to look like a snowman. This very UNIQUE Christmas decoration was created from a real, played-with bowling pin and shows wear from use and age…perfect gift for bowler or the snowman collector!

His scarf and hat was created by hand and he has been sprinkled with both MICA and German Glass to make him look like snow :)

I did a snow woman too and they look sooo cute together!I created these for an upcoming Christmas Craft show.
