Zibbet ACEO challenge...

The zibbet ACEO challenge has now ended. I hope everyone got their ACEO's in and took part in this great Challenge that Ms. Judy conducted.

Here are 3 Orca (Killer whale) Aceo paintings I have completed.

Will I enter one of these into the zibbet ACEO challenge?

Well,  I am not sure yet.

I am having so much fun painting these again, that it is going to be hard to pick only one 

from the many recent ones I have painted for the challenge. 

Glad I am not a judge for it. 

They have to pick 5!

New ACEO's I've painted.

I have been working on a few new ACEO's between doing my custom orders
to try and see which one I will like to enter into the zibbet ACEO challenge that I mentioned in an earlier post.

Here are 4 Original ACEO Watercolor Paintings, and are part of my Underwater Silhouette series.

 Zibbet's ACEO Challenge

Who's up for a new challenge?

This Challenge has no particular theme to follow and allows for all Zibbeters to participate. Simply make an ACEO in any medium you want. Oil painting, acrylics, watercolors, charcoal, fabric, fiber, wood, metal, leather, anything goes. However they must be this size: 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches

Wikipedia describes an ACEO as:

Artist trading cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art the same size as modern baseball cards or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (63 mm X 89 mm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. The cards are usually traded or exchanged. When sold, they are usually referred to as art card editions and originals (ACEOs).

Today April 16th starts the challenge.

You have 28 days until May 14th at midnight EST to enter.

One entry per Zibbet ID.

Five winners will be chosen by a panel of judges.

The five winners will appear in the Fantastic Five on Monday May 21st.

NEW prize: The First Place Winner will also be in the Zibbet Newsletter and become a Featured Zibbeter.

Items must be listed in your Zibbet shop for sale.

Post your item here and Judy will pin it to this Pinterest Board 

(giving your item even more exposure).

If you item sells on Zibbet before the end of the challenge it will still qualify.

If you choose to list the same item on another venue and it sells 

 there before the end of the challenge it will be disqualified. 

Reason is simply because when it gets featured the link to the unlisted item won't work.

2 new ACEO prints..

Over the weekend I decided to give it a try and do up prints from my Originals to offer in both my zibbet and etsy online shops. These are the first 2 that I did in ACEO (3.5x2.5) size. They look really good and I also enhanced each one a little bit to give it a more "handmade" feel. Be sure to check them out. :)

I am hoping to turn out some more and get them in my shops soon.

Little red riding hood aceo

I wanted to share with you my first sale I made on a new online shop I have where you only sell or trade Aceo's and Atc's. I happen to come across it one day looking for trade groups and thought, hmmm think I will list some stuff on there. I mean why not. It's free. Well, I made my first sale today and my first card was just listed on there on March 2. So not bad I guess. Now, my cards are not overly priced cause I do these for fun and I really think one should be able to buy an original art card at an affordable price. Besides, it isn't like I am some big famous artist...yet. LOL

This one that sold  was created using glass paints to give it a "stained glass look" so to speak. My favorite type of paints to play with I must say.     This is one I created back in 2010 and is 1 of 1

Wonder what could be in the darkness behind this little red riding hood?? I leave that up to your imagination. :0)

digital floral collage ACEO print in 5x7 black mat now in my zibbet shop

I took one of my digital floral collages I have on hand and printed it down to ACEO size then taped it down to a 5x7 back mat I cut myself to created this pretty 5x7 Vintage shabby picture ready for hanging. The floral collage picture has been designed to look old and vintage.

I have several different ones I created this way so be sure to check them all out as they would be very pretty to hang in a 5x7 frame in a grouping. Only 2.75 each! Just click on the picture to be taken to my shop where it is listed :)
