Today, Apollo and I are making doggie treats to give out to the other doggies
in the neighborhood that we see when we walk along with Apollo's good buddy Cole for Christmas.

Here is the wonderful recipe if you too would like to make these for your lovable pooch and friends.
By the way, these are human safe too!
Peanut butter and Pumpkin Doggie treat recipe
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Mix together the flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. Add water as needed to help make the dough workable, but the dough should be dry and stiff. Roll the dough into a 1/2-inch-thick roll. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
Bake in preheated oven until hard, about 40 minutes.
***I usually increased the pumpkin to 1 cup and use about 3 heaping tablespoons of peanut butter.
Also throw in about 3/4 cup of oats to give them some depth. I roll them about to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut them out using various Christmas cookie cutters. Bake them for about 35 minutes. Oh, and vanilla Almond bark IS SAFE for dogs so I added a little melted almond bark on some of the treats.
This is an Awesome recipe and I hope you and your pup pup enjoy!
